Why does popcorn pop
In room 5 we have been writing how and why popcorn pops here is my piece of writing.
Why Does Popcorn Pop!!!
POP! POP! POP! The sweet sound of popcorn popping in the pot waiting to be eaten. But before we eat the popcorn we need to know what causes popcorn to pop it all starts on a giant field of corn.
There are different types of corn but only one pops.
It's important that popcorn should have the right amount of water in the kernel. It should have about 19% water inside because if there is too much or not enough water inside the kernel it won’t pop.
Popcorn pops when it is heated, the water inside turns to steam inside which creates pressure, then the pressure from the kernel gets so much pressure the kernel turns inside out into a fluffy piece of popcorn.
Now you can tell others how popcorn pops where it is from and how it's made. I hope you learnt something new from my piece of writing.
